Speaker & Workshop Facilitator

The last mile of every transformation strategy is a conversation most managers aren't prepared for

Every conference session covers the strategy, the plan, and the leadership vision. None of them cover what happens when a manager sits across from their team and has to make the change real, personally, emotionally, one conversation at a time.

The gap your programme is missing

People don't resist change. They respond to threat.

When people hear about a transformation initiative, they don't process it rationally. They experience it as a fundamental threat to their status, certainty, autonomy, and sense of fairness. Will my skills still be relevant? Will I meet the new expectations? Do I still have a role to play?

They respond with fear, quiet resistance, disengagement, and the initiative stalls at team level regardless of how solid the strategy is.

Traditional change communications address the operational side: what, when, how, why. But the conversation that determines adoption is emotional, not operational.

It requires a different sensitivity. And instead of equipping managers with that skill set, organisations label them "resistant" and push harder. That's why adoption stalls, and this last mile gap is where I focus my work.

What your audience takes away

Two formats, one outcome: managers who can hold the conversations that determine whether change lands.

Keynote

30–45 minutes

Why transformation conversations fail, and what managers can do differently. Attendees leave with a diagnostic lens for recognising threat responses and a preparation method for the conversations that determine whether change lands or stalls.

Interactive Workshop

90 minutes – half day

Attendees work with a specific change initiative they're currently facing — a team restructure, a merger/ acquisition, a budget cut — and prepare for it using a structured method drawn from neuroscience and conflict research. They leave with a personal, actionable conversation plan.

Who I am

20 years leading global transformations. Now I bridge the last-mile conversation gap.

I specialise in the conversations that determine whether transformation programmes succeed or fail at team level — the ones between a manager and the people whose working lives are about to change.
